Mumbai Pav Bhaji by Bobly Rath
This wonderful recipe, using Veerappa Pav Bhaji Masala, has been submitted by Ms Bobly Rath.
Pav bhaji is a super yummy street food of Mumbai. I used Veerappa pav bhaji masala for preparing the dish which is really so flavourful masala.

For making bhaji:
-4 boiled potatoes ( medium sized)
-1 cup chopped capsicum
-1 cup chopped carrots
-1 cup chopped cauliflower
-1 cup green peas
-75 gm butter
-3-4 tsp oil
-2 tsp Veerappa pav bhaji masala
-2 tsp chilli powder
-1/2 tsp turmeric powder
-1 tsp kasoori methi
-1 onion chopped
-1 tsp ginger garlic paste
-1 tomato chopped
-Salt as per taste
-Water as needed
For roasting pav:
-1/2 tsp butter
-1/4 tsp Veerappa pav bhaji masala
-1/4 tsp chilli powder
-1/2 tsp coriander powder
Method Of Preparation:
-First of add all make a powder of kasoori methi and cloves and then mix Veerappa pav bhaji masala and keep it aside.
-Heat a Kadai with half of the oil and then fry all the chopped capsicum, carrots, cauliflower and green peas.
-Fry it for sometimes and then add chopped tomatoes and salt and allow it to cook for sometimes.
-Add 25 gm of the butter in it.
-Then add the prepared pav bhaji masala and kasoori methi powder in it.
-Mash it well and then add mashed potatoes in it .
-Add chilli powder in it and again mash and cook it for sometime.
-Keep them aside.
-Heat Kadai with butter and then add chopped onion in it and saute it well.
-Then add ginger garlic paste in it.
-When the garlic smell has gone then add chilli powder and remaining half of the Veerappa pav bhaji masala powder in it.
– Add a little water in it and add the mashed vegetables in it and cook it for sometimes and if you need add more water.
-Cook it till your desired consistency.
-Then add chopped coriander leaves and 1/2 tsp butter in it and switch off the flame.
-Now your bhaji is ready.
-Heat a tawa with butter, pav bhaji masala, chilli powder and chopped coriander leaves and roast the pav in it.
-Now your Pav bhaji is ready. Serve hot.
